Bookings for Avon Adventure are now open!

Date: 3rd Dec 2019 Author: Scout Websites

We are pleased to announce that bookings for the 2020 Avon County Jamboree, held from Friday 22nd May to Monday 25th May 2020 at the North Somerset Showground, are now open!

Avon Adventure is open to all members of Avon Scouting, from Beavers to Network. We also want to encourage Adult leaders and volunteers to attend as Service Team (IST). At the Jamboree we will also be joined by our Guiding counterparts from Girlguiding Bristol and South Gloucestershire, and Girlguiding Somerset North.

To align with the true Jamboree spirit, groups will be placed within Sub Camps throughout the Jamboree to get to know others within the county. Throughout the Jamboree, your sub camp will be venturing into a new zone (Water, Earth, Fire and Wood) each day full of themed activities. Further details of the specific activities will be available on the County website shortly.

As you can tell it is set to be an action-packed, adventurous weekend and one you will not want to miss. To ensure you don’t miss out please book your spaces as soon as possible here.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
